Level III Soil Analysis
Level III Soil Surveys
Level III Soil Surveys (Level IIIs) are required by the State of Georgia for design and permitting of underground septic tank and drainage field systems. Level III Soil Surveys are conducted and prepared in accordance with the Manual for On-Site Solid Waste Management Systems.
Epic will typically perform the following in preparation of a Level III Soil Survey:
- Review available professional and reference literature regarding soil types at the site, including local soil surveys, where available.
- Mobilize to the subject property and perform multiple soil borings and samplings.
- Analyze soils for use in an on-site solid waste management system under applicable state and federal regulations.
- Prepare and discuss with client a property condition report. The property condition report will contain figures and tables that document the fieldwork performed. The property condition report will also summarize and explain our conclusions.
Each Level III Soil Survey is site and client specific and can vary from project to project.
A more detailed scope of work will be prepared after review and discussion regarding
site-specific needs.
