Underground Storage Tanks

Underground Storage Tank Information:

An Underground Storage Tank (UST), is defined as a tank and any subsurface piping connected to said underground tank that is at least 1/10th underground. Underground Storage Tanks, predominately used to store petroleum fuels, are now regulated within the United States to help prevent leaking underground storage tanks from contaminating the groundwater and soil.

We will assist you in performing the appropriate soil and groundwater testing necessary to identify and remedy any environmental pollutants detected.

In situations where underground storage tanks are merely suspected of existing on a property, Epic Consulting, Inc. will attempt to identify and locate the underground storage tanks on, adjacent to, and within 1/2-mile of the site in accordance to the ASTM standard.

See our Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Page for information pertaining to the location and servicing protocols Epic Consulting performs.
