FHA Housing Accessibility Survey
If requested to do so, Epic Consulting can perform a Fair Housing Accessibility Survey that includes building inspections of a multifamily property to identify accessibility/usability of public-access areas by individuals with disabilities, in accordance with the "Fair Housing Act of 1988". The final guidelines, implementing correction to the March 6, 1991 publication, were published in the Federal Register on June 24, 1991, Volume 56, pages 9472-9515. The FHA Guidelines are applicable to all new construction of multifamily dwellings first occupied by March 13, 1991, unless proven impractical due to unusual site characteristics.
